I don't think James Child was going to give a penalty, he waited and minutes after signalled a head tackle which it wasnt, thats why there was 10 000 fans in uproar on his decision.

that's not what I asked. It was a penalty. Are you saying it wasn't? What does it matter if Child didn't see the offence originally? Uproar? Gross overexaggeration aside, it shows the quality of your fans if 10,000 believe he should have got away with it.

Thats your opinion only, ours are totally different, if we are totally wrong and its a bad one then the disciplinary will pick it up. It does matter however that James Child possibly didn't see anything in the tackle execution and then changed his mind when he realised the player was hurt in the tackle and gave a benefit of the doubt penalty which is starting to creep into the game this season.

Disciplinary:

Open hand, careless. Initial contact with shoulder to shoulder of opponent lessens force of blow before hand makes contact. On-Field Penalty sufficient......... should read Charitable Penalty Sufficient.

How do you know what Child saw ??

Anyway, stop bleating, you've got the two points, it's just a pity that Barba went off the field, he was Wakefield's best player for 15 mins in the second half .

I suppose people can feel vindicated regarding Child's poor performance, but as I said earlier in the thread, it makes no difference now, still two points lost for Wakey.

Or maybe the heavy penalty count that went in Wakefields favour gave them an unfair advantage, he also disallowed 3 saints trys and the video ref overuled 2 of them, cuts both ways, poor performance indeed. Johnny Lomax will be happy if Child has been demoted, Johnny was getting cheesed off with Liam Finn bashing him around the head.

Nothing to do with the two contentious decisions that he failed to send upstairs then. He may have disallowed some St's tries but at least he chose to have a second opinion, something that was not afforded to Wakefield.
