| Disappointing so many games have been called off today!
Not really sure why this thread turned I to a 'bash the championship clubs' ?!
Especially as RossFax points out Bradford v Hull attracted less than 2500! That is poor!
All top championship teams have this year now to close the gap even more between the bottom 4 clubs in SL. More prize money available this year for the top 2 in the championship will do this.
Let's leave the subject of attendances for now. Let's come back to it at the end of next season where you have potentially Bradford, Widnes, London, Cas maybe Wakey at risk of been relegated and replaced by maybe fax, Fev, Leigh. Crowds are bound to drop for those losing SL sides. Crowds will increase for the top championship teams.
Believe it! The Gap is closing! The question is...... Who's 1st to go form SL?!

regarding the bulls v fc crowd, £15 for paying adult, even for an away fan for a friendly it is a little steep, same for fc v kr

| club economics probably don't dictate this but i would like to see all friendlies made free entry. you don't really get a proper constructive game with about 50 substitutions taking place, and some teams are using them as a way to look at their young players up against more experienced pros, so the value for money thing is questionable anyway. clubs might be able to drag a few new spectators into the ground this way and they still make money from catering, lottery, merch etc

Stadiums are expensive to open and staff, there will always be an entrance fee unless we see some massive benevolence from somewhere.

| Who pays the stewards? Cleaners? Turnstile operators? And other costs associated with opening and running a stadium?
Would be more economic to play behind closed doors than let people in for free.
Friendly/Trial games are what they are. But in the long run they count for sod all.

The point is that, you know exactly what the deal is before you turn up so, either pay the £15 and enjoy the game, or stay at home.
Most clubs need the income.
The Hull game was over 9000 and Wakey/ Leeds, albeit on Boxing Day was similar.
Our game has been underselling itself for years and now we all want a freebie in order to "support" our club's
