You’re right, I’m sure the world & 4 Nations champions feel completely humiliated in our presence.

We're coming to make some noise!: |
|
| If Briscoe is on the wing I would have liked to think they'd have picked his centre partner Yeaman who is on form.
Welhams attacking potency really stems from one simple effective move which see's a second line of attack move the ball out and putting defenders in two minds with Galea or Murrell providing that short pass that any centre with a bit of size can get through. That or a short grubber kick through behind the line by Green/Dobson. Don't get me wrong Welham is great at this and I actually think his defence is looking stronger and the statistics do not provide the full story.
Maybe he should have been given a shot to impress during a none test game just to see what he could offer which is why the older players I feel should have been left out of this one. Let's get some idea as to how the younger players and debutants perform, if we lose, get hammered...etc at least we'll learn more from that about how these players react indevidually.
I'm possibly going to get shot down here but another form Rovers player in my opinion is Matty Cook. He breaks the line well, defends pretty strongly and I think he has much more to offer. In fact he's looking more like the Matt Cook from the Bradford academy side that put him alongside Sam Burgess and at that time he even got spoken about in the same breath as the NRL star! Not sure if he is any better than JJB but I don't think he is any worse at all.
I do hope our players are a little more confident than posters on this site though otherwise we are in for a bit of a spanking!

I know
But I would quite happily give away our home record against NZ for a bit of meaningul silverware, something NZ have acheived.

I'm reading between the lines here..... but im guessing you don't rate Atkins.

| Anyone with 2 eyes knows he's never a top class international centre and never will be. Great athlete, not got it upstairs. Say that on our forum though and you get lynched.. but sadly it's true.

| Ryan Atkins could be an option for the wing internationally no? Big n quick?
I like the backs at Huddersfield, pretty much all of them. I can't see why they can't all be drafted into the England set up.

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

have always thought he should play on the wing....ever since we signed him. nothing has changed my opinion, bar the quality of the wingers we have playing there at present.

| He would make a tremendous winger imo. Like I said, great athlete. He's not actually that big though, he walked past me t'other day and it suprised me how small he is

| McGillvary, Welham, Lomax, Mossop and Whitehead should have all been called up into a 22 man squad imo instead of some of the guys that have been picked. I thought this was an opportuntiy to show off some of superleagues young talent coming through but instead we pick guys like Carvell and JJB.
Shocking squad imo.

Thought the same about Richie Myler. I almost ran him over in the car park outside the Spar/Sun bed shop in Padgate. I had my excuse ready, "I didn't see him Gov". But he sidestepped quite nicely. I didn't actually mean to speed up, my foot slipped. He really is quite small.

| Is McNamara from the Brian Noble school of coaching? Didn't Noble have a bit of a reputation for holding young players back? Sam Tomkins being the most recent example.
