Ha ha ha stitch up job by Bradford liars?!?
Someone recorded it you mug!
You are right it was one though. The first one was enacted so can't be described as suspended.

| Quote alleycat="alleycat"A few years ago, on the final whistle of the Wakey v Cas relegation decider (arguably the original MPG that fuelled SKY's interest in creating a MPG every year), a large number of Wakey fans invaded the pitch and started taunting the losing Cas fans who were gathered at one end of the ground. To their credit, the Cas fans largely did not react (I don't like giving credit to Cas fans because my wife and kids were once subject of violence at a Cas away game; on another occasion I was spat on by them when raising money for a charitable cause; but on this occasion they acted with class and dignity which cannot be ignored!).
However, some 10 mins or so before the end of the game, the stewards gathered at the Cas end of the stadium; within a few minutes of the pitch invasion, the stewards had been joined by a large number of police officers and had formed a line across the width of the pitch in front of the Cas end. They then walked forward in a line and 'pushed' (largely not physically) the Wakey fans back beyond the half-way line. Situation defused.
I suppose the point I am making is that, in such a highly charged game with so much at stake, it had been foreseen that there may be problems and a contingency plan had been drawn up to deal with them. The stewards/police at HKR did not seem to have a co-ordinated plan and approach; hence the problems.'"
I think both sets of fans who were at that match will agree that it was a text book response. The stewards were the proper security ones not kids and the police were the proper riot control ones. In fact it was amazing because I certainly didn't spot them during the match they seem to appear from nowhere.
As you say by contrast the security looked totally inadequate yesterday.

| Quote nottinghamtiger="nottinghamtiger"There did seem to be some Salford "fans" who went straight over to the Hull KR supporters though and began to taunt them. Fans running on to celebrate would usually celebrate with the players from their team who were mostly gathered at the Salford end. I'm not sure why they saw the need to run past this and head straight for the KR fans if their only intention was to celebrate.'"
The fans I saw ran straight to our players to celebrate. Then to kr players to commiserate, no gloating it goading
Not saying that didn't happen with some fans, just saying what I have seen
Shame we are discussing this rather than the greatest 2 minutes of rugby I have ever seen. Ok I may be biased

Well there are Asians in aggbrigg and you made your thoughts on that part of the community quite clear last year.
Hence the suspended fine from RFL.
I've met some really nice people from Wakefield. Councillor Box for example. When - at work- we wanted to build our new cold store at Newmarket he was very helpful. Certainly a lot less small minded than those Wakefield fans offended at us standing in their ground last season.

| Quote Maccbull_BigBullyBooaza="Maccbull_BigBullyBooaza"Hudgell on Twitter describing hull KR fans as being "dignified". Nothing condemning what happened.
So clearly he'll blame it on a minority and seek to sweep it under the carpet.
If he isnt prepared to face up to reality then the RFL have to throw the book at them.
Empty stadium next year only solution. Id also relegate Salford because their fans are trash too.
We can continue to say it's only a minority or sort out clubs with a clear problem.
It was the championship shield final today at odsal. Thank goodness for our sport that after a fiercely contested showpiece of the British sporting calendar there was no repeat of yesterday's mass disorder.
Hopefully the rest of us decent people can move on and start to repair the damage done to the sport's reputation.'"
There was no trouble because no one gives a sh*t about the championship shield. ''Showpiece of the sporting calender'' - you must be trolling.
I always laugh when people go on about incidents like this doing ''damage to the game''. No bugger turns up to games as it is. No bugger want's to sponsor the sport as it is. In the entire 20 years history of super league there's been a handful of crowd incidents that have made headlines. It's not like full on football hooliganism, it doesn't really make much difference either way, the game is small time, and as such the impact of such incidents is small.

| Quote Adamjk="Adamjk"My guess is it's aimed more at winding up the RFL than to goad the opposition. The points deduction this year (and the previous one for the extra player on the pitch) has obviously been a sore point for a lot of Salford fans.'"
Obviously! so rather than accept they did wrong an quietly put it behind them and get on with life they make a show of it!
Pathetic IMO, and just makes the ill feeling towards their owner, their club and their fans even worse.

| Quote Adamjk="Adamjk"Definitely. I couldn't make it to the game unfortunately as I had to be somewhere else but I messaged my mate on Friday predicting there'd be trouble regardless of the result. It should have been one of the first things on people's minds when planning the stewarding/policing arrangements for the game.'"
Which says more about the 2 sets of fans more than anything! why would there or should there be trouble?
There was no talk of trouble last week, but yet a similar scenario, so why this?
Because obviously there are elements of both clubs' support that really can't be trusted to behave an shouldn't be let into a sports ground, sober or not.

| Quote Derek Smalls="Derek Smalls"My observations (FWIW):
The Salford fans were given 2 blocks of a stand, the rest of which was (partially) occupied by home fans. This meant some Salford fans (myself included) having to sit in the next block along as my ticketed seat was occupied. The rest of the Salford fans were at the opposite end of the ground. If Salford had been given another block (or two) in that stand they would have been easier to steward. As it was, some stewards were at the opposite end of the ground, and there were nowhere near enough at either end. At the final whistle fans are entering the pitch from both ends of the ground, making it harder to prevent. How are tickets allocated when larger travelling support attend?
At the end of 80 minutes there were (I would guess) a couple of hundred fans in front of the Colin Hutton stand, next to the dead ball line, the full width of the pitch, ie from both sets of supporters. If Rovers had won, rest assured their fans were about to invade the pitch and the outcome would have been similar. Why the game was restarted before these fans were told to get back in their seats is beyond me - it was clear what was coming at the end regardless of who actually won.
The Salford fans shouldn't have entered the playing area, but when they did it was to celebrate their victory. What reason would any Hull KR fan have to go on to the pitch, unless it was to confront the celebrating fans? They can say they were 'goaded', but from what I saw (and the videos knocking about back up) they came to the Salford fans before they had even had a chance to get anywhere near the East stand to 'goad', often picking off fans and knocking them to the ground from behind before disappearing back towards the stands.'"
That's what I saw too. Admittedly, only from the TV and YouTube videos. It shows Salford fans running on to the pitch to celebrate.
I have no doubt some Salford idiots will likely have gone over to the Rovers lot and goaded them too, but that's no excuse to come on to the pitch. The thought going through some Rovers fans' heads I imagine was that they'd go on and "put them in their place" when what they really did was embarrass themselves, their club, the city and the sport. What possible other reason could a Rovers fan have had to come on to the pitch?
Celebrating on the field, whilst I don't condone it, isn't exactly a scandal. Fighting on it is.

| I was in the well very close to the Salford fans in the north stand with roughly 5 minutes to go large numbers of Salford fans started to push towards the pitch you could see the trouble coming.at that point they were fairly consigned to losing it seemed.as we saw the game changed and they understandably went nuts.saw a few push peacock and few other players this is what brought people out of the East stand few minutes of chaos then cops came in hard. Went on around the ground on and off for what seemed like a good while.it was bad.but I believe it would have been much worse if we had of won.there was a bunch of 70/80 salford fans intent on fighting either way.

What thoughts were they sunshine, do elaborate (with evidence) - slander is an offence even on the internet.
You're just trolling now - yep of course you've met Box and of course you've something to do with the Cold Store at NM
