| Quote SaleSlim="SaleSlim"Oh I dunno.... weren't Wire averaging something like 4000 at Wilderspool before they moved to the shiny new HJ? It's amazing how winning multiple Grand Finals can add another 5-6000 to your fanbase.

Pretty sure you got to Wembley last year, by your logic that should have helped?

It's fine for "massive" clubs like Wire to mock Salford but let's be honest, without Mr Moneybags backing you you'd be in as much doo doo as clubs like Salford & Wakey are (sorry Wakey fans, not a dig!).
The fact you're dragging out news articles from the Salford Star pretty much sums you up..... it's a poxy rag with about as much credibility as the Sun or the Star.
'"
Not true, Wakefield is poor by comparison with say, Warrington, however, unlike Salford, we are at least solvent. It's not much but it's a vital difference.

| Quote snowie="snowie"I cant believe you think its fake that we are just making this up,
FWIW again we've been promised a tart up of Belle Vue but again the company which has been given land to build on still is hiding and not taking responsibility for an agreement for the land, the Wakefield council is inept it has allowed them to continue to get away with a promise for years, added that the past top Councillor was a cas fan and share holder you can see through why the wool has been pulled over our eyes.
I don't expect this to happen even now sadly'"
Don't worry about it.If,as stated above, clubs were NOT warned that stadium criteria was important for Super League Licensing,it surely can't be applied now where so many clubs use stadia owned by other sports.
You do have an 'elite' Academy, which also had a bearing all those years ago.
M62 clubs could learn so much from overseas clubs.
Much to the chagrin of Donnyman...

| Just taken a look at Moor Lane and it's more than adequate for Salfords needs. Nothing wrong with it and it certainly looks possible to increase its capacity in the future. We need to be realistic, it's fine even for SL, certainly way better than Trailfinders.

Are we not solvent? We haven't paid the full rent for the stadium however that isn't debt hanging over our heads. It's just not been asked for AFAIK.

Salford remain solvent only as long as someone keeps deciding not to call their debt in.

Where have you "taken a look" Vasty? Google Earth? Google Maps Street View? An LS Lowry painting?
From someone brought up round the corner who has played at the ground and has stood on the terraces there for a number of years I can categorically state it doesn't have any extra surrounding land to expand the current stadium (the large expanse of land over Moor Lane is a nature reserve and protected land). There are barely enough parking spaces to accommodate players vehicles but apparently parking for fans isn't a SL requirement so it's fine on that front.
Having had a quick look at all SL requirements it does look as though it meets them (bar the 3m run off area at each side of the pitch).

The original Licensing required 12k minimum capacity.
