| For the first time in too many years we are competing in the backyard of Oz and NZ. Seems to me that we have a young squad getting better and in general on an upward curve.
Is now the right time to change the coach as we are clearly heading in the right direction?

| Exactly, against Australia, we had two crucial chances to win the game, with breaks of 3 against 2, on both occasions the ball carrier didn't pass, If just once the ball had been passed wide the game would've been won! So forget"fingertip-gate" !!
Against the Kiwis, if Ryan Hall doesn't lose his grip, we win, sadly he did, so we lose.
It's been ages since I last felt we were about to win, well ages against Oz', only last year against the Kiwis to be fair, but I'm sure you all know what I mean.

| Yeah, let's get rid of the coach.
Then we can start again with another coach who rips up all the plans and structures the players are used to and starts again from scratch.
We don't actually want to get caught up at all, do we?

| McNamara's contract won't be renewed surely?
Any one of Wane, Powell or McDermott could do a far better job.
We have a young squad and improving we just need a coach who can take them that step further.
With McNamara out of the way there may be still time for Brough and certainly time for Atkins who will never be selected for England as long as he's the coach.

I understand the point about sticking with as we've competed well with the big 2 the last 2 years and a new coach could be a backward step what with a change of direction if they were to get the new appointment wrong.
But also a new guy could be just what is needed to get past that winning line. Note Leeds in 2003, on the up under Powell but the decision was made to hire Tony Smith and he took the team to the title. Wigan after a few bad years mid 00's, Noble had them moving back to being playoffs contenders and had them close to reaching the GF but the decision was made to employ McGuire and he took them similarly to another level. So there are a couple of examples where hiring a new guy to turn you from 'almosts' into winners does work.

| I'd agree with you Printer if the errors that cost us were down to the Coach, but they were simply Player errors, two passes that didn't occur and Ryan Hall dropping the ball, I don't see how a different Coach would alter that.

You seem to have forgotten the recently minted Englishman Anthony Smith.

| Well I have never been a big fan of Macnamara, but apart from a couple of player choices, which people don't agree with, what has he done wrong. This is the most competitive we've been in a long, long time and we need to let him carry on with the good work that he's obviously done. As others have said, he didn't make wrong choices on the field or drop the ball so lets give him the credit that he's due.

| McNamara would have coached us through the series unbeaten, save for Bernard Sutton. The performance against NZ was a well-coached one: patient, structured with a few worked moves that were successful.
Anyone suggesting Shaun Wane as the next boss can't have seen Warriors Down Under. Unless that was a spoof? "Anthony Minichiello. He's left-handed. Watch him carrying the ball in his left hand. SBW. He loses the ball in contact. Let's try and make him lose the ball in contact."
