Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one

So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin

I'm sure the RFL did consider that option and yes if you have 21 clubs in 2 leagues , one will have an odd number in it , it was the RFL's decision |

A big huge roof which protects from the elements!  Won't totally protect you from the cold but its a damn site warmer than a terrace with no roof, especially if it rains or snows. Critically you can retreat to the concourses at half time to get a break from it! A pint in the cold is not nice! |

For what it's worth, I've got no problems with Leigh staying in Championship 1.
Just wanted to see if everyone was held to the same standard of scrutiny as us at the Cru.

Which team? Two teams have already been promoted, so who would you class as the "runner up"? Oldham, who lost the GF or York, who finished above Oldham over the season?
Given the circumstances, I would say it would seem logical to promote the team that finished 9th in the Championship rather than the team that finished 3rd or 4th in C1.

Yes, but there may have been issues changing the structure of each league (albeit, slightly). Clubs have set season ticket prices under the assumption that C1 will have 10 teams and 11 teams in the Championship. Normally, changing the number of teams in a league would be announced a year in advance, rather than in the close season. |

I suggest you pass it on to UKBA because THEY investigated and found no evidence of wrongdoing by the club.

Only because the bottom team (Oldham) had already folded. Under all other circumstances a relegated team was reprieved first (i.e. Huddersfield staying up when the NFP winners failed to meet criteria rather than runners-up getting promoted) |
