It’s more important for Toulouse to get into Super League ASAP to capitalise on the boost French Rugby League has been given

| Ahhh, like watching the warrington of old, 2017 that is. Best team won, and they weren't even that great.

| Feel a bit for Warrington they were on a hiding to nothing everybody wanted Catalans to win (myself included) but you did see what it meant to the French players and fans and it’s massive for French RL we do need another French team in SL before Toronto imo

| Quote Hasbag="Hasbag"Well done Catalans. God knows how they managed to hang in at the end when Wire had all them sets on their line. Massive heart and determination.
Not the highest quality game but one that was close and exciting.'"
Agree with that. Think a lot of it was to do with just pure poor execution by Wire. I think it was 3 times near the end when Wire was on the Catalans line and they played the ball back on the last tackle to Brown but the pass to him was shocking around his head/shoulder/behind him and resulted in a poor kick.
I don’t think the Catalans performance was anything special after the opening 20 mins and the final 20 they were just as sloppy as Wire. When you think back to their SF performance, THAT was a top quality performance, todays you can’t really say came close to that. If they produced similar today they’d have won by 20+. Instead they were clinging on by 6 against a team who were like headless chickens anytime they were in Catalans 20m.

Firstly, well done Catalans on a great win today, fully deserved (and you won me a good few quid as I backed you for the cup before the Saints semi, and had Gigot for the Lance Todd!). I have to agree with Frankie here. I don't have anything against Toronto and if they get into SL on merit through the qualifiers then fair play and they deserve their spot through the current system. However, a second French team (Toulouse) would make a lot more sense and be more beneficial in my opinion.

| Good tough final, nowhere near a classic but last 10 mins was interesting, though Ratchford, Brown and Clark were poor compared to the Catalan counterparts. Far too many errors from Warrington and still struggling to be that top 4 big club side, the Catalans should be a stronger outfit next season.

| Well done Catalans you came first, we came second. The rest of the teams were somewhere behind.

We can have both Toulouse and Toronto in Super League. Ideally in a 14 team league without loop fixtures

That about sums it up. Certainly not a game of the highest quality; even Lance Todd winner Gigot had a far from flawless game. Right now I'm watching Canberra v Souths, and the difference in class is night and day.

| It was an awful game and an embarrassing Wires performance. Five major final defeats in a row for us now. Maybe one day we'll finally get round to replacing Adrian Morley. We might have a chance when we do.

| If Wire had had Blake Austin playing instead of Roberts, they might have won that game.
