I said at the time of his appointment that the reappointment of Rea was a disaster waiting to happen and nothing ive seen since then has changed my opinion.

Gower's manager could have easily found an interested club within a week. These managers are permanently on the phone to coaches and CEOs for various members of their stables. Nothing has been signed yet. They are still negotiating.

It is odd that he would go to Newcastle, which already has several players contending for the halves positions. It smells to me like an "any port ina storm" decision

But if in fact Gower wanted to leave before he was dropped as captain, it still reflects on the quality of the club and the coach. He tried his heart out every week and yet he was surrounded by several players who could not or would not tackle.

The club is built on rotten foundations of incompetence and lack of professionalism at every level.

His manager has been touting him around the NRL for months. Only injury to gidley has now given him a sniff. He's a standing joke in this part of the world.

To use on whom?

No quality player will come to London now that Gower has gone, especially if the player first talks to Gower about the quality of administration and coaching at the club, and the quality of players whom he would be playing with.

cost cuting is rife at the club......we will finish last this year,last next (if we exist) and be gone by 2015 unless Hughes,McKay and Rea are all replaced soon. In fact, just get rid of all three of them and see how the clubs drift.....I assure you it would be no worse than it is at present.

London just seems to be rotten to the core and i think this has been coming for some time. Seems to be a combination of poor coaching (i include mcdermott in this), average Aussies and average players from the north treating it as a holiday camp. Seems they need an owner and a coach willing to lay down the law and get guys in willing to do a job. There's about 3/4 dependable players there (Clubb, Sarginson, the young winger) but they're on a hiding to nothing at the moment - if these guys up and leave for other clubs this is going to leave Broncos up a creek...

Pay attention. We lost our paddle in about 2008 and we capsised in 2010.
