The trouble with League express (and all newspapers in general for that matter) is that they report yesterdays news. Times are changing. for 'now' news all you need is the internet.
I do buy the Daily Mail or the Express now and then because I like the crosswords.
You can buy League express from most Morrisons supermarkets - not just ones in the north. No need to order it.

As for it being the only decent paper, I've come to buy both during the season but only League Weekly during the off season. LE bores the life out of me when there is no news flying about, LW seem to do a few more interviews and love a good rumour!!!'"
bet you loved that one about KR signing willie mason.

| I got sick of both publications reaching my god-forsaken town late, one week on a Thursday .
I've stopped buying them both, and with the saving subscribed to Premier Sports, to see R.L. at it's best.

| I don't bother with LE or LW. You've got Super League, RFL, NRL and Love Rugby websites amongst others as well as this forum for the latest news.
I buy Rugby League World every month. The features in that are absolutely phenomenal (with the exception of Dave Hadfield and batty Ratcliffe woman).

| Subscribe to the paper edition, most weeks it's here on Tuesday but occasionally Wednesday.
If you subscribe online then it's there after midnight on the Sunday night/Monday morning.

I've a sub and i tend to get tuesday 80% of the time, wednesday 19% and never 1% in cardiff! I enjoy it and it's nice to have a decent league read once a week.

| League Weekly hhas improved beyond recognition from the amateur mess that it was. Anyone who has not noticed the difference is clearly stuck in the year 2000.
FWIW I think it offers far more opinion, news and insight tha League Express. I particularly like the Millward column and Danny Lockwood is a good read too.
In a time when it seems a crime to be on one side of the fence, I think LE is a bit sterile these days.

Both LE and LW are Yorkshire based and Yorkshire biased. I stopped buying them several years ago as a result. I do often get to read them though, after having them passed to me by people who like wasting their money.
At the end of the day, you’ll get most of the important news on websites such as this anyway.

| Don't get LE myself and don't see that changing either. Looked at it today and not only was it as lazy as ever (stories just cobbled from the net, shocking design etc) but the price had even gone up. Why?! League Weekly is still the same price - 20p cheaper - and is better anyway. I think Ian Millward's column is great and Andy Wilson is one of the best RL journalists there is. That paper has improved loads and they keep adding new stuff, while LE is just the same old clap trap full of Martyn Sadler's ridiculous pontifications. He's obviously so self-righteous that he thinks he can churn out that rubbish AND raise the price. No chance. LW for me.
