The 'death threats' aren't serious, just dumb kids posting 'oh he's a dead man' and 'his final days are approaching' then panicking and deleting their twitter accounts once they hear the Police are investigating.

Would be a bit daft if the people posting those get in trouble and Flower doesn't, when he's the culprit in all this.

Whilst we're on death threats, I wonder if the kid from Dominos in St Helens has met his end yet after being flooded with death threats from Gareth Hock and his Wigan cronies?

All this goes to show is that people should have to pass a test to be allowed access to social media. Flower did the crime, he's not paying his time and we should all move on from this now. Flower should go to rehab, Hock should go to school for an adult education class or two and we can all go back to admiring what a sensational performance it was from Luke Thompson at the weekend.

You stated that it was Ben Flower that started it which implies that's the reason they started the death threats?
If it was then I am merely pointing out that if they are so outraged then these internet people should be sending death threats to lots of sporting people who they are outraged by? Which is clearly ludicrous and clearly they are in the wrong no matter what ben Flower did or didn't start.

No, as death threats they're nothing to worry about. Anyone actually think anything will happen? But that doesn't mean the bell end making them shouldn't be reported, and it seems GMP are already looking at it.

I don't understand why anyone has a twitter/facebook account but especially people with the slightest ounce of fame. Yes. My beliefs are that:

a) Ben Flower committed a very bad act that deserves a serious punishment.
b) He got a fairly serious punishment. I'd also have been fine with twice the length of ban.
c) He didn't knowingly 'walk over' and punch a man he knew to be unconscious.
d) Wigan's disciplinary record, especially when compared to other clubs, doesn't support the thesis that their coach is some kind of animal bent on dirty play.
e) I, and the Wigan players understand that fiery talk in the dressing room is not a literal instruction to punch people unconscious.

If you think that one or all of those views could only be held by someone biased due to being a Wigan fan, then yes, I'm biased.

He's a young lad that made a mistake. Do you know he can cope mentally with you outing him and splashing his details everywhere?
