Good suggestion, miles better than mine...
I was going to suggest sending talent scouts to the Toronto Masters to see if there were any disgruntled tennis managers

| Quote: tristram "Blame Ralph Rimmer, RFL organiser in chief at the start of the season. It isn't as if it wasn't common knowledge that some clubs in SL were likely to need to travel, nor that those in danger make end of season signings. It certainly makes more sense for the information and processes to be put in place centrally than for each club to discover them individually.'"
A specialist immigration consultant is at the disposal of all the clubs who have to travel to Canada who know far more about the process than The RFL ever will. And yet players are still struggling to get an eTA.

He's not one of the players that I've heard. Crooks travelled to Toronto, whilst Hall's a former Wolfpack player, so you would assume both of those will be OK. However stranger things have happened!

Crooks played for us at Toronto. Hall didn't.

Hall would have (almost certainly) had a work permit when he played for TWP which will have expired when he left the club. To get back into the country he will have to apply for an eTA and if he has to answer 'yes' to any of the questions on the application that could well complicate matters.

When Hall left Wolfpack and signed for Leigh, we heard that it was part of the agreement that he would not travel with Leigh to any future Toronto games. Now he's signed for Hull KR so we don't know if that condition still stands.

The 'not travel to play for Leigh against TWP' part of the deal is now irrelevant. Whether he can get an eTA is very relevant.

| Mr Tim Sheens (and the many years of top class experience he has) is clearly annoyed by the situation and thinks the RFL haven't really thought through all of the implications of a Canadian based team. He does not blame Toronto though.

why just blame the rfl? aren't the majority of clubs in the league part to blame too?

Maybe it wasn't part of the deal between Leigh and Toronto. Maybe he has reasons for not wanting to travel there, which are not visa-related?

The “agreement “ wasn’t not to play for Leigh it was not go to Toronto, it is still valid.

I doubt that would be enforceable - see Sam Barlow circa 2011
