You haven't said anything to me. I thought it was a fantastic comeback to your rather pathetic *who the love are you* comment. As he said - GET A GRIP.........

This person went on my personal twitter feed to find out enough to insult me over a post I'd made on a messageboard that wasn't addressing anyone. It confuses me as to why anyone would do that. I wanted to know who he was and what I'd said previously to him to warrant that treatment as it's rare I have a crossed word with anyone. I was short with him, because I was taken aback.

He came back with the kind of rhetoric I've not heard since the playground. I'm surprised anyone is impressed by it or the effort he has taken to insult someone who has never spoken to him before to my knowledge.

Anyway we're off topic and I don't have to take personal abuse any more than anyone else so consider this a warning to can it. It's the same warning I'd be giving as a mod to anyone having a pop at anyone else. On topic or leave it. Consider this me getting a grip of the situation.

Okay I will explain it. Nearly every tackle in rugby league involves some degree of holding down, as it is part and parcel of bringing someone down to the ground with your body. It is at the referees discretion as to what constitutes an offence and what is normal progress. This is not the case with armed robbery or shop lifting. You either steal from a shop or you don't.

It is my opinion that Child punished us for holding down in a tackle for a period of time that was normal progress. I witnessed Wigan doing the exact same thing and seeing it go unpunished. I wouldn't have punished it, in either occasion. I thought the referee was inconsistent and didn't have control of the game.

It's academic now as it was a week ago and I'm over it. Enjoy your game too.
