everyone elses southern cross has 5 stars though......so if you where going to pick a version of the southern cross you'd pick the one most nations use.......obviously

The Southern Cross has the star on the right slightly higher than the one on the left. If it's based on the southern cross, they should have done it properly at least.

There are five stars in that constellation, but the "cross" is made up of the four main stars so it doesn't matter which you use to be fair (but only NZ use four IIRC, with Aus, Samoa and PNG using five).

stars - god knows...but the 3 explanations above trump the southern cross theory

They're coming back after a crusade. The fact that i didn't know they had existed or left in the first place is simply down to poor communication from the RFL at some point in the past.

but given how much i've backed the idea of the "other nationalities" i'd really hope this media coverage was for them....but none of it makes sense...especially give the emails i swapped with richard lewis about it cos he seemed very keen on reviving the 'Other Nationalites' team...so if they've changed it to the "Exiles" then i doubt it'll work brand wise.....at least "ON" had history on which to work on...

I just don't understand why the RFL would big up the reserve team with good build up and better branding than the first team?! Just wouldn't make sense to me.

They said in commentary last night they thought it was the decision on the licensing....
