Difference between "near full" and "half full" was about 5000. Either get to Specsavers or remedial maths lessons.

Quote: Standee "E M B A R A S S M E N T
People of Warrington and Huddersfield be ashamed, shocking crowd, looks (and sounds) rubbish on TV.'"

Should have turned your volume up then. For once the BBC took their microphones to the game. Sounded great here.

Quote: Standee "77000 it says on radio'"

Quote: Standee "If true, then that's disgraceful - what with it being more than the capacity of the Millenium Stadium or Murrayfield.'"

Then take into account that Club Wembley has 15,000 seats.

At last some sense eusa_clap.gif

It's the biggest RL attendance this year, and people are on about scrapping it?

I respect people's opinions if they apply common sense, but comments like that are just idiotic. The crowd was poor for a cup final, yeah. But it was bigger than any other stadium in the country can hold so it was justified. And we're in a recession.

It was poor, but some people need to get a grip.

Was it? Paid more attention to the game myself, which was great to watch. The first half was non-stop attacking rugby. The second was all about defence.

I wasn't asking for your permission. I just find it daft when people churn out the same old "I didn't notice the crowd, I was too busy concentrating on the game" line, when it is quite easy to notice the crowd at some point whilst concentrating on the game.

And there are plenty of breaks in play for me to be able to look around the stadium. Not to mention being able to look around before it actually started!

So be as patronising as you like, but your the one that wants to avoid talking about the crowd on a thread about... the crowd!

You really think 76,560 is poor?
Press boxes weren't full and god knows how many Club Wembley seast were empty.

Where did I say I didn't notice the crowd?
What I actually said was that I paid more attention to the game than the crowd. Please don't tell me you did the opposite.

I think it's a good crowd considering the sporadic "stop start" nature of the competition - spread over months and months of the RL calendar and for a competition that's supposed to be dying on it's ass. The BARB figures will also be interesting compared to previous years - there was quite a bit of TV advertising for this final last week.
