Guarantee it will be the Saturday 12pm game as well. Personally I reckon they should start the Saturday with a bang and end it that way. Derby game (Saints/Wigan) as the first match and same again for the final game (Leeds/Cas or Hull/KR?). Stick the London-Catalans game in the middle.
At least if you have a big game to start the day that crowd will generally hang around for the full afternoon. Nothing worse than 2 of the less well supported clubs opening the weekend in front of a few thousand fans. I could be wrong, but I'm sure 2 of Salford, Widnes, Catalans, Hudds are always in the first game.

| Toronto should be promoted in 2020, and that would be even more likely if the club could get a good coach. Brian McDermott would be an ideal choice for taking the Canadians to a higher level.

| Widnes owners haven’t put money into ththe club for a long time. They’re using whatever income we get from sky and ticketing sales, skimping on a first team and pocketing the rest. Hence where we are and where we deserve to be.
Hopefully 2 years finishing bottom will be a wake up call for us however not we’re around £1million less off, probably more.
If, and it’s still a massive if, Gelling comes, this will be massive for us. All the talk from the club is he on still coming next year.
We’ve just signed Tangata from Halifax, and retained Hansen and Cahill so the pack is coming along nicely. The player to watch in the championship will be our FB Ollie Ashall, great prospect and should bag 20+ tries.
All this being said, it will be the hardest and most competitive championship campaign to date. The way it’s going, we currently have half a side, no coach and the morale in the town is at an all time low. As it stands, 3 or 4 other clubs find themselves in a stronger position than us but hopefully we’ll get the ball rolling soon
My predictions
Widnes
Toronto
Bradford
Toulouse
Leigh
Looking forward to it

| The one thing Leigh and Bradford will probably have in their favour is the gate revenues. If Leigh can start a fresh this pre season, players will still look at them as one of the more attractable clubs to play for in the championship.
I could be speaking far too early but real good, seasoned championship teams such as Halifax, Featherstone and Sheffield may not get a look in at all. I'm glad its looking competitive next season because it will hopefully give our owners and those in power that push to generate a strong side. Our championship team this year will have to be stronger than the SL one just gone because that team was useless.
Mellor heading to Toronto on a 1 year deal.

| The best thing Elstone could do to get RL fans on side would be to ring sky, get the championship viewing rights and auction them off for the next couple of years. Premier sports picked these up and even if each club got a small piece of TV money - the exposure of that league could do really well.
Even better a streaming service set up, one or two games a week.
Looks a great league to keep an eye on
