BT Sport has won the exclusive rights to show the European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup from the 2018-19 season to the end of 2021-22.
Up to 134 matches a season will be shown live on TV in the UK and Ireland over nine weekends.
On top of this, BT Sport also has the rights to the Aviva Premiership and the Anglo-Welsh Cup, It will show up to 69 live premiership matches this season.
Super League signing up to a new long term deal with sky early, without going to tender is looking a poor move when BT sport are outbidding Sky for RU.

Very true, probably best to reign in my expectations.
My mate had a KIT box. Briefly. He complained about the blurry picture & Kcom told him they broadcast in 'soft focus'...got uninstalled the next day! |

Folk turn to streaming because that's the only way they can view a lot of sporting events live - not just because it's free. Even if you subscribe to every sports channel going on Sky, there are some games/events that you can't watch (PL games being an example).

That's just another excuse though isn't it. You don't have the right to see everything you want to, whether its a live event or not.
Just because you can stream things doesn't mean its morally or legally correct to do so.

Pretty sure if the RFL had signed a deal with BT Sport and Channel 5 they'd be posters here complaining of their low subscriber numbers/viewing numbers and how this wouldnt help expand the game. |

You are right but what a pity ITV don't show some games on one of their channels they should start with the leagues out side the super league to test the waters |
