Could very easily be the case.
Will the Wiganer on a witch-hunt publishing potentially libelous accusations acknowledge that could be the case or is he certain he knows what Zak said and who he said it to?

Exactly what I'm getting at.
Rugby players (and most blokes in general) give each other grief, whether it be light hearted banter or in the heat of the action in sports - all sorts of 'descriptive' terms are used, yet we only get the BS outrage when it's certain insults, and it's only the ones that are seen as being 'inclusive'... I suppose all those who are outraged have never called someone fat, ugly, ginger, 4 eyed, , inbred etc etc etc....

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I'm not bitter, I have nothing against Zac in general and although Leeds are not my favourite team I would say the same if it was Marc Sneyd, Kevin Brown or Travis Burns. Not very bright? I have a first class honours degree... Does that count

The people defending these actions need to have a look at themselves. Would they accept racism? Where is the line drawn? What if their own son said it on a field? What if their friend is gay and someone says these words in a pub?'"
I think you are actually showing more ignorance here than anyone using the term fag! The majority of the gay community would be more offended that you think they'd be that precious over a rugby player calling someone a fag in the heat of the game.

Not in court.
There is no clear evidence that anything has happened. (Who Hardaker was addressing, the words he used.)
If anything untoward was said, then it's lucky that there are people around to go through video tapes frame by frame and froth on the internet to ensure something unsavoury that would never have been noticed can receive as much exposure as possible. Which achieves what, exactly?
Hopefully in the future, all Rugby League players will be miked up and broadcast on separate feeds just so you can concentrate on what's said between them rather than how they play.
Perhaps we could extend that coverage to the stand. In which case Section 4 of the Public Order Act is the one you want to check out, given your previous.

| Before the camera went on him he said "your decisions are a disgrace Mr Child. I need a......" That is when it cut to him and he said F...ing Fag........
If he is guilty he should be given a hefty punishment. He definitely said it but depends who to.

So you recognise who is saying what off Camera? Very talented.

You can hear him on the video now go climb up his and jog on. It's clear as day he says it.

| You don't have to be a professional lip reader to see it. He says "you f....ing fag" anyone who doesn't see this is blind or from Leeds.

| Quote: Magic Superbeetle "Okay, I think a few things need to be cleared up here.
a) I'm fairly certain that no one on here would condone homophobic behaviour on the rugby pitch. Speaking for myself, I spent a lot of time working with the lgbt society at university, and is something I consider important.
b) that doesn't mean to say, even assuming that those were the words hardaker shouted, means he's being homophobic. It can (and is on a very regular basis) used as a generic insult - and yes is regularly used in youth games between teams up and down the country - verbals are an important part of the psychology game. If it was specifically aimed at someone of that persuasion then it becomes a lot more serious, as it's intent looks a lot more homophobic. The only reason it matters whether it was directed at child is that ref verbals are unacceptable, homophobic or not.
c) abuse is not acceptably on any level, homophobic, xenophobic or anything else. But verbals are part of the game - at 11 year old school games and all the way up. If the chosen vocab was meant as generic insult, to another player, there's nothing in this (except he was stupid enough to be caught on camera, which is a slap on the wrist) - if it was aimed at the ref, regardless of intent, there should be a disciplinary as the ref should command respect. If there was intent for the specific, homophobic, meaning then it is very serious. On the evidence shown so far, it's indeterminant which category it falls in. Yet, you've already acted as judge and jury on the matter.'"
Voice of reason.

| The Leeds mafia are out in force I see and have managed to deflect attention from Hardaker and Peacock onto a poster who's apparently thick, hypocritical and has a vendetta.
Back on topic(ish), at best this is an unacceptable level of abuse aimed at the referee by Jamie Peacock. At worst this is a case of two Leeds a Rhinos players aiming homophobic abuse at the referee, alegedly.
In either case it's not acceptable!
