No a different one. The original was, if I remember correctly, quite a big thing and is presumably residing with whoever won it last which is only right. This is A Yorkshire cup rather than THE Yorkshire cup.

For Leeds, I thought Walker, Hurrell, Cuthbertson and Ward all looked very good. Leeds will also look a lot better on the wing with Tom Briscoe there rather than Newman. Cas scores 2 tries from kicking to that side. That’s not a criticism of Newman by the way, he’s a young centre not a winger. Hurrell really looks a handful and any go-forward we’ve lost from Hall should be replaced by him.'"
Will be interesting to see who Furner picks for the 2nd row spots come Round 1 (rest of the lineup looks straight forward atm) Ferres and Sutcliffe picked today but wouldn’t be who I’d go with. Ward will probably start, Ablett would probably but not sure if he’ll be ready to go by Round 1. Cameron Smith should be in contention. |
