Without doubt it was a stupid thing to do , but on a par with Ben Flower's ?
That is how the neutral fan community has reacted , and given he will now miss the same number of games ( 11 ) obviously how the disciplinary have seen it
Seems a bit of a Whitch hunt to be honest , and that is ignoring the suspicion that Mr Bird was feigning injury to avoid penalising by the ref , something that cannot be proven either way |

I remember a lot of Wigan fans who thought Flower was harshly treated. And now there are quite a few Leigh fans who think Acton has been harshly treated! How he had the gall to appeal is ridiculous.

Why indeed , unless of course he couldn't be sure the ref wouldn't see it as a late/high tackle on the opposition half back , personally it wasn't late , high ? , well it did hit Reynolds in the face
If he was concussed he couldn't have returned to the pitch after going off , but he did
