| Seriously are people still going on about this? Until we start winning games people won't turn up. Simple. Salford is not and possibly never will be a rugby city, people need convincing.
Until we start winning games, making top 6, challenge cup runs, don't be suprised that our crowds are low. If we are still getting average 4k after that, then I agree we are flogging a dead horse. Pardon the pun.
Until then I remain in hope.

| Salford have won games. A crowd of under 2k is indicative of more than just poor on-field performance affecting crowds. It shows a poor off-field setup. There's obviously very little going on to entice people to come to games. And little to interest them once they're there.
I would have some sympathy if Salford were doing this off their own income and so were severely restricted in what they could do. But they're not. With Koukash's money there should be significantly more people there and significantly more people engaged by the club.

| People bang on about the ground location but Sale managed to attract over 7,000 today to the same stadium, so that's just a convenient excuse. Sale are also a mid-table team, so Salford not being a winning team doesn't wash either. 'Him' is spot on with his post.

Oh, right. Well shall we just it off then? Who do you think you are talking to when you constantly go on about the lack of fans at Salford? Do you think the folk that don't go read all about it on an internet forum? Is it our, the fan's, fault? Don't you think we are demoralised enough?
Yes, it's crap. Our attendances are abysmal. But ffs change the record.
We know.

Who's we?
Either you're a fan who has no control over the club and so can't affect change and so the post obviously wasn't aimed at you, or you're in a position to wind the club up in which case the post was aimed at you and you deserve to hear it over and over again until you do something about it.
Though if you are in that position I'd rather you started putting Koukash's millions to far, far better use rather than wind the club up. Starting with investing in a professional back office operation in all departments. Plus investing in the poor academy setup, in the poor marketing setup and the poor matchday experience.

| Classic example of not investing at back of house before throwing money at players. It's a fine balance but you need a good CEO, marketing team, corporate liaison manager etc etc as well as a competitive team. Telling fans they are going to get a winning team is setting up for trouble. Telling fans they will get a great day/night out for the family regardless of result is far more deliverable and likely to get people along.

Although the stadium move from the Willows has been a disaster your point about Sales crowds is valid and does suggest the Salford club has serious problems. We can argue that if we are successful the crowds will come however not every club can finish in the top four every year. Sale are clearly attracting casual fans who for whatever reason do not want to attend Salford games. Is this down to Salfords performances? Do they prefer union to league?
Salford is a club that has been rebuilt on sand in the last two years. Yes there has been a lot of investment on the field but to still have sub 2000 gates is a massive concern. For the club to be anywhere near self sufficient I think we need Marwan to continue his investment on and off the field for at least 3/4 years before there is any return on his investment.

As others have said, he needs to get the back office right. CEO and Marketing.............we all think League is the better game, but the vast majority of the british sports watching public don't either agree or don't know better. Educating them takes time and money and signing a few average names and promising a winning team isn't education, it's a rich mans folly

| When Koukash 1st took over we we're inundated with Salford fans crowing and warning us all that a red empire waas going to take over the sport, they were going to sweep all before them in 2 years, dominate thr game for years, have all the world's top players playing in front of packed houses etc etc....i did say back then, even though i was told i and every other RL fan in this country is simply jealous and envious of Salford because we all knew what was gonna happen to wait and see what actually happens before shouting their mouths off !!....they weren't happy with Koukash stating they WOULD be top 4, they were adamant they were gonna be better than that - Well, it seems my words were very advisable at the time as 2/3 years on from koukash's entrance and they appear to have gone BACKWARDS as a club with little or no chance of threatening the top teams before he inevitably has enough and buggers off leaving them with nothing !!
Those fans have made it easy for people to say i told you so etc....the are not jealous of you, far from it, they're probably wetting themselves laughing thinking what came out of certain Salford fan's gobs/keyboard.
I don't mind Salford, had some good cracks at the Willows in years gone but nowadays there is such a chip on their shoulders they and their club are slowly becoming a bit of a dislikeable joke to fans i've spoke to about them.

| Koukash offering tickets for a fiver for their next home game and u12s get in free in the east and south stand.
If that doesnt get salford fans in nothing will.
Listening to bbc manc radio on the way home from warrington it seemed salford fans will use any of the excuses not to go! Weather, not winning, stadium not in the right place, stadium shouldve stayed in salford (even though its only 9 miles away, not the other side of manchester), no promotion work even though the club sent in details of plenty of pr work to the show, yet sale fans still turn up in good numbers
