Why can't you all just admit that rugby league is dying due to the meaningless regular season fixtures? Furthermore it is becoming more predictable and boring, with far too many blow out scores............

Mine too - Leeds v Bradford was by far the best of the televised games; Hudds v Salford sounded like a thriller, but I can't comment on it as a spectacle.

I'd say as a spectacle Leeds v Bradford was better, but it was only such a good spectacle because of the sloppiness of Leeds! (IMO)

Funny how attitudes change. When the boot was on the other foot when you were and we were good, Widnes always saw the Wire game as the big one.

after watching the wigan-saints game i commented how muted it was.it's usually a cauldron of noise but yesterday for most part the players shouts could be heard.there just didn't seem to be a high intensity to it at all.

last 20 minutes of our game was good end to end stuff,the first 60 were forgettable.salford played very well,we played poorly but somehow dragged ourselves back to 20-20 then the free for all to get the winning point(s) started.

I take it you weren't at the game then?? Loads of noise and atmosphere that the TV cameras hardly ever seem to capture. The tension just before kick off was palpable. As for intensity, well even sky caught that.

i am obviously referring to how it comes over on tv.
just seemed quieter this year compared to usual.

I think they deliberately muffle the crowd noise even in big games so as not to interrupt pub debate waffle that goes on in the commentary box every week.

Seriously,it's like they're all in a cue waiting for a go with the microphone.
