| I would rather we had an extra couple of teams with Fax joining Widnes. But Wakefield imho have had more than enough opportunity to develop BV or get out. Imho the cocked a deaf un to the RFL for far too long and only when the RFL grew some and decided that they would get serious about their ground did Wakey start to act.
It doesn't have to be the end for them if they are demoted. They will have three years to develop a ground (I do feel grounds are important and I don't think I am alone given how crowds have grown when clubs get decent stadium) and get stability ready for a new application in much the same way Widnes have.
Crusaders would be the other team in danger for me. You only have to look on the thread started by one of their fans to see all is not well. But 16 months after their move north is not sufficient to be kicking them out just yet. If the South Wales team develop a stable footing in the next 3 years then Crusaders might be in danger.
As for not enough talent. The Championship has some cracking players who would love the opportunity to have a crack at SL give them a chance. We also have loads of players playing in the U20s who need to play a better standard of rugby to develop. By having the additional club(s) they might just surprise one or two and in time the Aussie journeyman might disappear.

| one thing that really needs to happen is that once decisions are made, a league table of bids strongest to weakest needs to be drawn up with tangible reasons why each bid is ranked where it is.

How many did Warrington win between 1974 and 2009?
If you look at the records Huddersfield have won more honours that Warrington, who biggest claim to fame was making the chap who polished their trophies redundant after 35 years service.

Are we not showing constant improvement in this area. Yesterday we gave two academy lads their debut's. with one of them putting in a MotM performance. Our U18's are also unbeaten in 3 games having beating Saints and trouncing Wigan.

Yes but there are 12 super league clubs in England and 1 in Wales. It would be crazy to take that 1 club away when rugby league in that country is on the rise, just as it would be crazy to kick Catalans out.
Its interesting to note 0 people voting for Catalans. I predict in 3 years time when Crusaders are more established, as Catalan are now, there will be 0 people voting for Crusaders also.

| Quote: Inflatable_Armadillo "I find the pole results very interesting in that Wakefield are, yet again. the majority choice to lose their licence. I find it interesting because the RFL seem to have been apparently successful in what I consider to the their master deception... a traditional club to go over Crusaders for 'expansion reasons' and not what I think are their real reasons.
I also think that RL fans tend to have short memories. I have some rhetorical questions, as a person that does believe in the expansion of the game in the longer term?
If the idea of a Super League Club in Wrexham is such a great long term idea, why did the RFL not set one up their in the first place and start in the populous area of Wales and the centre of Welsh Rugby Union? Why did they choose to start up another Championship Club in South Wales if North Wales is such a great location for a team, so why not Welshpool or Llandudno, or maybe just back over the border in England in maybe Chester of Stoke-on-Trent? The thing is the Crusaders were moved to Wrexham because the RFL had no choice, simple as!
If the RFL had not lent and were still not currently owed circa £700k by Moss and Roberts and also were able not to lose 'face', with hindsight, for admitting them too early into SL, by kicking them out would they do just that?
If the SoS had not called in the Newmarket Development for a public inquiry and Wakefield, like Salford, were currently busy constructing a new stadium, and also with the added bonus of AG taking over from Ted, would the above poll now show Castleford in last place? Most probably and that is also a huge shame, when it should read Crusaders?
I have more if anyone is interested?'"
While we are in the habit of asking searching questions... why are you “a person that does believe in the expansion of the game in the longer term”
I don’t mean the way the RFL are implementing their strategy which can be covered elsewhere, it would seem you are fundamentally opposed to the expansion of Rugby League at all. I am genuinely interested in why you believe this, I am not on a wind up?

The RFL did not set up the Celtic Crusaders.
The RFL did not change their name to Crusaders and move them grounds.
The RFL did not set up the South Wales Scorpions.
These clubs have owners who are not the RFL.
