No, because the Saints-Bradford debacle established that there is no such thing. If players are in your squad then you can pick whichever ones you like. Which seems kinda reasonable.

As others have said It's not the fact he asked, it's the way he did it. The piece in the MEN has done him absolutely no favours at all. People don't hate salford- they just hate the way their owner constantly tries to dictate the game and makes it look even more amateur than tge RFL manage.
What a tantrum- that will have lost him support from outside salford. Now where did he throw that dummy????

Is it not the responsibility of the CEO to make the request?
I now understand it is the requirement of the head coach,as demonstrated by Huddersfield,to request the RFL disciplinary to 'throw the book' at opposition players and prejudice any decision making.
Of course,in keeping with the ubiquitous criticism of Dr Koukash it may just be that he is paying a member of his staff to do nothing.
