| If you look at the conversion of completed sets to points, England are looking pretty good. It's keeping hold of the ball that is the problem. Get to 80-85% completion and we will beat Tonga, and give it a good go against the Aussie's and shut Kimmorley up

| I think England will win. We have that bit more quality in the pivotal positions. Though I'd probably say there are more superstars in the Tonga team than ours.

| The Tongans will have a problem with stamina if we can do (sensible) offloads to make them double up on tackling, and I'd want to see plenty of dummy half running as well, because that's where their tired forwards will try to hide. The other weakness is Tonga's kicking game, which can be patchy at times. I think they'll give England a massive game, which lets be honest we need if we're to challenge Australia.
Apart from dropping the ball under no pressure, the other thing England absolutely have to do is show they can play for 80 minutes, Our best isn't as good as Australia's, but our worst is terrible, and if we switch off for 10 minutes even against Tonga we could leak a lot of points. The only chance we have against Australia is to play basically at our best for 80 minutes and get some luck go our way (which I've rarely seen vs Aus).

| If England can play mistake free Rugby for 80 minutes they will win. If they can't they could have problems

| There is no exception, from 1-17 there are improvements to be made. And these improvements need to start this week.
This will be my fourth consecutive world cup semi final, all England defeats so far, and I don't want to see another one.

| The question should be can Tonga beat England? and the answer is they have a fighters chance if England play another sloppy game and if Tonga bring their best to the table.

| England by 10 or so. Don't forget NZ were beating them comfortably before the Kiwis stopped playing and I think our spine is stronger than theirs. Stop JT making yards and we'll be fine. I hope.

| Can we beat Tonga? Yes. Will we beat Tonga? That’s a different question. IF we can control the ball better and avoid silly penalties then I think we should be looking at a win. If we make it difficult for ourselves and invite them into the game then they are good enough to put us to the sword.

Good shout - if England control the ball and cut the errors out from the PNG game, then they should have enough to win this game.

We need to strike the right balance though, sticking it up the jumper against a big side may not go well for us. Our much-vaunted pack hasn't been as dominant as expected IMO.

No defo agree with that, just need to find the balance though. Nothing wrong with a few 5 drives and a kick if the fprwards hold on to the ball and we are making 40/50 metres each set and pushing Tonga back continuously - then can start to push it out wide.

TBF our pack dominated PNG. It'll be tougher versus Tonga. I'd like to see more offloads provided they're on. The key for Tonga is their spine. If that functions we'll struggle I reckon. I'd say England by 6.
