| Why haven't the IRB been in touch with the UAERU to set them straight on who they have governance of and who they don't?
That 30 second telephone conversation would end the UAERUs confusion and end this debacle

They don't need to work with anybody, they just need to pick up the phone and bring one of their members into line.

And I suppose you have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the legal and constitutional machinations of the UAE!
Regardless, you are wrong and your attempts to dismiss my charge against the IRB is an act of futility. They have a duty to reign in their rogue NGB and they are negligent of that duty. The question is why?

| Might be worth remembering we are talking about a man's freedom.
This is not a petty argument of league vs union.

And yet the FACT that World Rugby are assisting and supporting the RLIF in getting the charges dropped is ignored by those on here who love a good conspiracy.....the blokes iit on bail and a quid will get you a tenner all charges will be dropped......although his status as an illegal immigrant may be harder to deal with.

| Why haven't the IRB just told the UAERU that they're wrong about holding any kind of Governance over Rugby League?
What business was it of the UAERU to demand action over the Rugby League competitions use of the word 'Rugby'?
On what basis did the UAERU conclude that the UAERL were guilty of fraud or 'passing off' in their dealings with Nissan?

As I've said all along...its a local issue that wasn't part of any global conspiracy. The easiest way to sort out the fraud charge is ask Nissan what they thought they were sponsoring.....the other stuff around governance is what the rlif and world rugby are sorting out.
All of this came about because the correct procedure when setting up a sport in UAE wasn't followed and the local union lot stuck their oar in where it wasn't needed......unless it turns out Tha Nissan thought they were sponsoring union......as I say, ask Nissan.

None of that has anything to do with UAERU!
Just answer the questions!
Once they started their action against UAERL and made statements about being the only sanctioned body in the UAE which Governed 'Rugby' of all denominations, the IRB could and should have stepped in to set one of their members straight, should they not?
Why should Nissan be contacted? It's none of the UAERUs business, they're making a baseless claim of fraud or 'Passing Off'! Will they be contacting other sponsors from Netball, football etc as well?
The only organisation which is out of order here is the UAERU! They have made false claims about Governing sports for which they have zero authority!

| I'm pretty sure that the charge relating to Nissan is immaterial and was based on the idea that the RL competition was illegal rather than any sort of deception.

You assume the IRB were aware of what was going on in UAE. Given only a freelance journalist in Australia felt the story worth covering, it's safe to assume that the IRB were unaare that there was some score settling of a local nature going on.
Quote: The Avenger "Why should Nissan be contacted? It's none of the UAERUs business, they're making a baseless claim of fraud or 'Passing Off'! Will they be contacting other sponsors from Netball, football etc as well?'"
Baseless? Are you aware that the owners of the Nissan Franchise that were paying for naming rights knew 100% that they were sponsoring league and not under the impression that they were sponsoring Rugby? It would seem a very strange course of action for the UAERF to press these charges that will have to be seen by a court of the land if they were baseless.
Quote: The Avenger "The only organisation which is out of order here is the UAERU! They have made false claims about Governing sports for which they have zero authority!'"
I don't disagree about the claims of governance, but as for organisations being out of order, the entire RL set up in the UAE was in fact illegal, not registered and being administered by an illegal alien/immigrant. Whilst you can take offence at the apparent lack of morals by the Union lot, they aren't the ones breaking the laws of the UAE........the bloke out on bail did that....a number of ways it would seem.
