But that would not make any sense at all. He's leaving NZ because he misses home, what does signing for Catalans achieve exactly? Better weather but they all talk funny and its still not home.
Could be Salford at a push, but would expect him back at Wigan within a season if he did go there.

Having said that, he always came across as Wigan or nothing (apart from going half way round the world to play down under).
Do we know if he is intending to stay in League ?'"
If Wigan can't afford him then nobody can.
There's literally no way Wigan are spending even close to the salary cap.

| wouldnt part of his salary also be cap exempt at wigan due to his club trained status as well?. so effectively they can afford to pay him more than other clubs without it counting on their cap.

It's the same way Scott Taylor got closer to returning to Hull by moving from Wigan to Salford

Before he left England Samuel said that he would like to play for London some day. This would take up 50% of the London cap, but along with the signing of Samuel Rapira, it would guarantee that London gets promoted back to its rightful place in Super League.

| One player a team does not make, London will need a hell of a lot more than 2 players to get promoted anytime soon im afraid, they are behind Leigh/Bradford in the CH, and possibly Sheffield and Halifax, but then again we will see Sunday when they face the Bulls.

That's one hell of a stretch by any measure.

The idea that someone from Hull, the of Britain (it's where you live, learn to spell it) felt that New Zealand wasn't for them is quite ironic really.
New Zealand has been my home for 6 years now and my biggest regret is that I didn't move here sooner.......the quality of life is light years ahead of the UK. Auckland is my least favourite place here, but is craps all over Wigan from a great height......he's not homesick, he's just failed.

Aussies get their culture from a yoghurt pot.

What a narrow minded view that this.
I've been in NZ for 10 years myself and I've seen plenty move over here over the years, only to return home. No doubt I'll see more. What's right for you and I isn't always the case for others.
You sound like a really old and bitter chap. Perhaps keep you daft opinions to yourself.

I responded to the opinion of a posters daughter that NZ was 30 years behind the UK. How that is narrow minded of me I do wonder, although now you bring it up, I am an old and bitter chap, but I am old an bitter chap that lives in a mortgage free 5 bedroom house, own his own company and drives a Mercedes AMG......paying at worst 25% TAX. Compared to the tube riding, mortgage laiden 1 bedroom flat owning 50% of my income to the government poor sod I was, I'll take NZ every day of the week compared to anywhere in the UK.
As for keeping my opinion to myself? Are you new to this internet forum malarky?
