| Quote: RL13 "I'd wear that England top more than an Arsenal fan would wear an England shirt.
Besides, it looks more like Leigh.
The England RL shirt needs to be iconic. As iconic as an RL shirt. Either with hoops or Vee. Not something bland (all white) or tacky (having a St George flag plastered over it). The GB shirt was PERFECT - FLAWLESS in this regard.
If hoops are the way forward, then that's fine with me. Historically - there are some links with it (didn't England commemorate an anniversary a few years ago wearing the same top?).'"
Leigh? No, it looks more like an Oldham shirt.

Yep they did. I think it was 2010.
Personally I think an all white one is fine or white with a red V.
Agree on the GB shirt, the cotton one they had around 2003/2004 was a great shirt.

| Is it a real kit? I've not see it mentioned anywhere we were getting one (although why would the RFL bother doing that and trying to make some money out of it).
I think it's a lovely shirt by the way!

| Looking at that shirt and the names on it. It's a tribute to the centenary of the famous Rorke's Drift test in Sydney on 4th July 1914. I suspect it will be used next weekend in Melbourne

No, actually you're right. Fully grown adults shouldn't buy the shirt of their nation because it bears a passing resemblance at a distance to a non-existent shirt of a rival team.
Yeah, I'm the one who's ridiculous.
You obviously don't understand club rivalries. If the England shirt was white with a red vee then wigan fans wouldn't wear it either.

I would for starters.
If it's got an England badge on it it's an England shirt regardless of it being Wigan, Oldham, Leigh like in design or if it was like a Saints shirt, a St George shirt and so on.
The petty rivalries that exist between fans at international level are embarrassing.

I don't think its petty at all. It's natural for Saints and Wigan fans choosing not to wear a kit that strongly resembles your rivals.

Kits resemble each other the world over. Ours looks like many clubs in league and also in football.
An England shirt is an England shirt because of the badge. I wouldn't give a monkeys if England played in a red vee, were sponsored by St Helens glass, had 17 Saints players turning out and nicknamed themselves 'The Entertainers' as long as the badge was English!
I'm an England fan when England are playing and leave my club loyalty to one side.

| At £55 it's the price not the colours that's a put off.

Spot on. It's a bizarre and petty attitude to have as an adult.

I do actually, I used to think in a similar fashion. Roughly between the age of about 10-14.
Then I grew up a bit.
