Oh really Jacques? You live where exactly? Bois de Boulogne?
Which specific sentence that I "spouted" in my previous posting on this thread was "utter tripe?"

86.jpg Let all the doubters keep doubting and those who believe keep believing.
We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in.
But you’ve got to keep believing.:86.jpg |

The difference is that, since Super League began, Leeds have spent more on their ground than any club other than St Helens and Warrington. As Wakefield and Cas have found, staying at the traditional home is not the cheapest option - you either do it and spend big or get out. Hanging on in a middle ground between the two is doubly costly - if you're going to keep the old one going you need to spend proper cash.

I actually sat in one of the Belle Vue stands a few years ago, near to poor old Neil Fox. I could touch the splinters.

| Those damn dangerous concrete terraces etc. health and safety nightmare including crush barriers.
They would never STAND for that in the NRL would they
I mean look at Manlys ground, or Penrith they at least have safe , non slippy grass banking with no crush barriers.
I am awaiting the HSE to condemn mountaineering because it means uneven surfaces, going up hill and most importantly a risk assesment will not have done, filed and considered.

He's a f**king tool obsessed with goddamn Toulouse. There are other stadiums just as bad Belle Vue in SL, I suppose he'd want them relegated as well. Toulouse ain't gonna happen, they don't have the support or the team for SL.

Come 2015 Toulouse will have a brand spanking new stadium, with at least 10,000 seating capacity, located right opposite a metro station. Seating will be comfortable and splinter free. The eating facilities will be excellent. The lavatories will be clean, aromatically fresh, and in perfect working order. That is the kind of 21st century sporting venue that rugby league, especially Super League, needs to be showcasing.'"
Only problem is there'd be no f**king home fans

but who will be sat in it?
I'd like a good Toulouse team in the league, the new system is practically designed for them to get in, but will it work? what happened last time they joined thechampionship?

Something to do with all your neighbours from what I read when the club was planning on putting the temp roofs on.

Belle Vue is old and long past it's sell by date but not all of it is bad, despite the riducule the hospitality block is superb, the East stand offers a good view of the game and has modern plastic seating so no splinters, the North terrace under the new roof is a superb place to watch Rugby League from. The much maligned toilets were upgraded years ago with a roof placed on the old open air ones and a new modern block built about 9 years ago.
Wheldon Rd is no better and in some aspects is not as good
Standing on the away terrace at Headingley being soaked by the rain and frozen by the wind is no better than being on the West terrace at Belle Vue
The same can be said of parts of Craven Park
Odsal is in many ways worse than Belle Vue
I recognise that Headingley and Craven Park have been improved over recent years but exactly how much should Wakefield invest in a stadium that's due to be vacated in the next 3 years. Despite that there has still been a few improvements made and we'll just have to keep patching her up until we move.

That must have been 20 years ago as all the seat have been plastic mounted on a metal subframe since then, or perhaps you could be telling a little porky pie
