Smokescreen:

We spent lots of money going to Wembley
My poorly dog ate my wallet

Truth:
waaaaaah we lost at Wembley....waaaaaah we didn't finish in the top 4

Quote: Dave Lister "I thought it was about at the level of your hyper defensive sob stories trying to cover for the pathetic attendance of last night.'"

Phew. Nearly dignified that with a serious response then. You're not dragging me down your little cul-de-sac of stupidity, Lister. Find another mug.

Oh. I thought we were having a serious discussion. If I'd known you were going to suddenly begin behaving like a twelve year old, I wouldn't have bothered. Good day.

Quote: Tre Cool "It's poor support. End of.

You can't criticise other clubs with a smaller starting fan-base for not showing up!

Their existing fans are showing up.

A huge amount of existing Hull fans didn't bother.

They played well too, I would imagine the stay away fans are pretty embarrassed now.'"

As said previousley we have 98 consequtive 10000+ regular season attendances. I'm sorry we all are not super rich like you to attend every game.

As I said that's a smokescreen, and we'd all have more respect for you if you admitted it was a poor effort last night.

You are right.

As I said in my post there will be people who genuinely can't afford/can't justify spending money to go watch the rugby. But the majority of fans who stayed away did so because they are sulking about what they perceive to be another bad season.

To put it into perspective the last playoff game we were in when there was a genuine feel good factor around the club was against Bradford in 2006. The attendance that night was 16000, and as I remember it Hull fair was on at the same time, not only competing with the rugby but also making travelling more difficult. Lets say 2000 were from Bradford. That means 9000 Hull fans who went to that game can't afford to go 7 years later. B0ll0ck5.

Would you tho, if your premier club seats weren't included at every home match?? Take 1500 off your average home support, and it suggests not.

Well I'm not trying to gain respect from you so don't care on that front. What exactly are we trying to smokescreen ? From what I can see nobody has said it was a great attendance and nobody has denied it wasn't a poor attendance.

If it makesyou feel better. It was a poor attendance like every play off game will be through to the grand final. Now the Hull fans who have posted on here have tried to offer explanations and give different views on why it was poorly attended. You on the other hand seem to be on some kind of mission to get people to agree with you on an obvious point.

However one game does not formulate how well Hull are supported. Wouldn't surprise me if we take 2000+ away next week, not many will take that many on the road in the play offs.

The sad thing about it is this Hull team is actually pretty good despite a large amount of the fans throwing a sulk.

The season hasn't lived up to expectations but it looks to me only short of a decent half back combination. Defensively they're excellent, the threequarters are among the best in the league.

Sad to say now but Rangi Chase would've been the ideal signing for Hull.

You're trying to smokescreen the fact that 6-8k regular fans didn't go to the game last nigh (because they were sulking) by pretending it was a financial decision.

BS.

Surprisingly poor crowd. Thought it actually was a decent game.

A trip to Hudds on a Thursday night might dampen travelling numbers, but a win is quite possible.

All those Hull fans paid full price, which was minimum £18. The Hudds crowd included 5,000 @£10 so in terms of revenue probably less than £5k between the two.

Just in case any Hudds fans have chipped in with criticism.
