Quote: Lefty "It's like Cullen said a few years ago about us when he was still in charge "we will have to load from the top" this is until the youngsters start coming through from the academy.
Salford will have to do similar for the time being, however it is imperative that money is spent on youth development at the same time. We only won something when our good young kids actually started breaking into the first team.
We went from 2004-2008 throwing money at all and sundry, and we achieved sweet fa. However what SHOULD be Paul Cullen's legacy at the club as head coach is the work he did with the academy.'"
I think Warrington underachieved for years under Cullen, should of easily won something with the players you had, what was the difference between your club then and your club now is, (coaching staff) since tony smith and his backroom team took over the mentality at your club completely changed and average to good enough players like Westwood Briers and Harrison stepped it up a notch and become brilliant players in the space of a year, it's all about attitude and smith changed the attitude at your club tenfold.
Now us at Salford hopefully have the right structure behind the scenes and we just need to build the squad capable of challenging.
