I've just been so frustrated in the past where we all get our hopes up we're going to beat the Aussies, then we get let down and the players don't perform. It was just de ja vu for me and i can see the same thing happening in the WC. Reason i singled him out, he's the captain and been made the main man by Mcnamara. Time he stood up againt the Aussies.'"
Translation
See now what you could have countered my argument by stating why Sinfield should be the captain and is the man to lead England. But you've used petty Insults?
I still stand by my point, is Sinfield the main person to lead England against the Aussies? He's never produced the goods against the Aussies. He didn't again on Friday.
McNamara will select him anyway that is obvious. Abd if Sinfield leads us to glory I will happily eat my words and admit I was wrong.

| Never?
I must have imagined his performance the last time Leeds met Melbourne in a World Club Challenge. Likewise his performance against Manly last year, or against Canterbury in 2005.
Here, have a straw. The ones you're clutching at appear to have broken.

| He has produced against the Australians and NZs as pointed out above, also who then if not Somfield is a better captain and leader?
He is the best we've got, whether that is enough we will have to wait and see.

Not too sure in all honesty who could be the other captain. But I much prefer a leadership group. The only ones are nailed on for the England jersey are probably too young such as Tomkins, Hall etc.
So Sinfield probably is the best leader we've got, but if that's the reason for his inclusion in the team, then McNamara should get Peacock back.
If Sinfield was England's 13, I would be happy for him to be in the in the side, But he is going to be the most important position on the field at 6 and I don't think he's creative enough IMHO

| It doesn't matter if you put a 13 on Sinfields Back he will play the same game.
Peacock has retired, but if your going on past wins why would you put him as captain, he's never captained a win against the Aussies.
Admit it you just don't like Sinfield for some reason and your just trying to find a reason not to have him as captain when he's clearly the best man for the job at this moment in time.

I didn't insult you, just ponner.
I think it's clear where you're coming from and you've typed nothing to change my view.
I don't have the patience to explain Sinfield's credentials as a captain to you but ask around who is the most successful captain Super League has ever produced.

| Put Tomkins to 6, Brough 7 and give Hardaker the full back shirt.

| Really? Danny Brough?
Brough is a poor mans Briers. He is 30 years old and has yet to put a full season together in his entire career. He is the epitome of a small-town hero. The type of player whose eye-catching play is all down to him, but whose poor efforts are always down to someone else. There is a reason Brough got bombed out of the only decent sized club he played for, and there is a reason his success in a 10 year career consists of a single challenge cup.
If Danny Brough is the answer, we are asking the wrong question.
