HULL KINGSTON ROVERS is my religion, Craven Park is my church and Jordan Abdull is my God: |

Maybe they are, Maybe they aren't. Someone should produce a table showing who has what in terms of locally born players as well as overseas players

I was a little suprised at how high our (Saints) figure was.
Meli & Flanders are exempt from quota because they signed before the legislation, and I don't think either of them will see 2013 with us. They will obviously have to be replaced by English players.

I was too to be honest. It's the same for us with Carmont, Richards and Leuluai. Think this will definitely be Carmont's last year (surely he'll actually retire this time!) and Leuluai and Finch are both out of contract at the end of the season too so I imagine our quota will come down. I hope we can persuade Leuluai to stay on but I think he fancies a crack at the NRL

He'd by mad not to, if the salary cap down there goes up, as people say.
As we've mentioned, the number of antipodean players has to go down as players like Meli or Carmont retire. Clubs who have persisted in getting as many jonny foriegners in as possible will REALLY suffer once they start to retire if they have no invested youth.
To be fair, Flanders may not even make our 1st 17 next year and if Meli left now we've youngsters like Makinson and Wheeler to fill in for him. Perry played 1/3 of a season last year and Sia played even less in 2010. Tony P is a star player, Perry and Soliola have an awful lot of ability and Laffranchi and Hohaia are big names at least. We've more than I'd like, but I think we're pretty responsible with it.
We could effectively field a back line of Wellens, Foster, Makinson, Wheeler, Gardner, Gaskell & Lomax next year, which would go pretty well and all of whom were products of our academy system (gardner only kind of).
Other clubs have similar boasts - Wigan, Cas, Leeds and all, even the much mocked HKR, have some youngsters coming through.
The quota system will continue to tighten and we'll see more of the 238 odd weekly shirts being filled with brits, rather than journey man Aussies - Even in East Hull.

Similar to Wigan, I don't think many people could argue (now) that Carmont, Richards, Leuluai, Lima + Finch are some of the best quota players, but then again we've got someone like Roberts who I doubt will play many games but was already on a long term contract, and a plodder like Lauaki who will be key to Wigans season (if he plays a lot, we'll be crap, if he doesn't get many games, we'll do well).

| Trinity are currently running at 7: John, Tony, Smith, Collis, Mellars, Lauitiiti and Southern. I believe they are still looking to stretch the rules further to bring in another.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Quote: Neville Bartos "The comparison should be 2012 squad vs 2009 squad (the first season of the last franchise period).'"
OK, so next season saints have:
2012 - Sia Soliola, Francis Meli, Josh Perry, Tony Puletua, Chris Flannery, Lance Hohaia, Anthony Laffrinchi - 7
In 2009 Saints had
Gidley, Flannery, Meli, Tony P, Jason Cayless, Maurie Faasavalu (who may be counted has home grown) - 6
So we've gone up one. That's dissapointing.
Can we do this for everyone's club?

What about Nathan Ashe? Wasnt be born in NZ and only moved over here a couple of years ago? Surely that would make him an overseas player?
