Very droll - as I said, not the greatest test.
The point remains - as a teenager, he's already skittling experienced pro's; he's certainly an exciting prospect for England in the longer term.

Mossop is better than Burgess, Prescott probably is close as well.

Mossop is quality and I agree, Prescott not sure I see what the fuss is about, Burgess is a better player and prospect from what I've seen. Stats taken from SL and NRL websites https://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics_player?hs1
Lee Mossopp
rlhttps://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics_player?hs1
Luke Burgess (NRL)

*edit* Sorry miss typed the tackle stat for Burgess. Sorry.

There isn't that much between those stats, the average meters per carry is a bit higher for Burgess, although Prescott made more tackles. Doesn't really show much difference between who's the better prospect. The only thing you could argue is that for the 2nd half the season Burgess has been playing at a higher level.

Watching Burgess for Souths, he seemed to thrive on the step-up. Certainly an improvement over his Leeds form.

I thought 2012 was a blank year for internationals anyway?

I agree with that, my point was the stats don't really tell the story. I have been very impressed with him since he went to Souths. FWIW Prescott thrived on the step up when playing against St George, as do alot of players.

| Burgess was equally as good for Leeds as he has been for Souths, Leeds' best prop by a mile the first half of the season.

| I wouldn't write Morley off so quickly. He wasn't at his most effective at Wembley but he was on the pitch for twice as long as he normally would due to the injuries to Graham and Ellis, coupled with McBanana's bizarre choice to only name one prop on the bench. If he decides to do the the same again with fitness question marks hanging over three starting forwards he wants his head checking for holes (I'm assuming that Graham, Peacock and Ellis will all play as the noise coming from camp are pretty positive so far)

You are right about writing him off. But I used to see him play nearly 80 mins a few times for the Roosters.

| Looking to the future Wigan have named Prescott at 8 and Mossop at 10 in our 2012 squad list.
They're the future for us and will both kick on to international level imo.

Props can't keep doing that throughout their careers though. The wear and tear of being a front-rower catches up with everyone eventually. If Morley is able to just do 15-20 minute stints against the Kiwis tonight I'm sure he'll be more effective than last week. If he isn't then we can start writing the obituaries

Mossop will be a top line international and has the potential to be a fixture in the England side like Peacock, Morley and now Graham have been over a long period of time.
Prescott will be around squads and get some games here and there imo going forward like Carvell has done over the years or as another example in another position like JJB has.

Totally agree with Mossop, I would have in the squad now. But I just dont see Prescott becoming an international standard prop.
