Weirdly, the 20 minutes he played he looked pretty decent in a win against the almighty Hull KR. Think he came from St. George but not 100% on that.

| There's loads of plyers that come over and end up going home after only playing a handful of games.
At saints, Phil Adamson was frozen out by Hanley when there were far inferior players getting picked and Tricky Trindall brought with him a host of issues that contributed to his quick departure.
However, two players (already mentioned) who got some serious game time were Damien Smith (Centre) and Bryan Henare (prop). Absolute garbage, both of them, but they got a game every week of their stay with us.

| Quote: skoot "Think you mean Hitro 'The Maneater' Okesene look a real handful his first game away at Sheffield and never impressed again after.'"
Hitro was a good player, had done really well at Carlisle and then had 3 good seasons at Auckland Warriors and got 5 NZ caps. Hull signed him when both of his knees were knackered and he needed operations on both of them, so its hardly surprising that he never impressed. He went on to play fairly successfully for quite a while after the ops for Fev and Workington.

| Quote: nick hkr "Your distance certainly puts you at a disadvantage on this one JB. Usually your pretty spot on with most things HKR but Michael Smith was a star performer in most games he played for our club. Numerous man of the match awards among plenty of times James Webster took them when probably not playing better than Smithy. His offloading skill was something no other National League club then had while his unstoppable runs coupled with Makali's barnstorming ones really put us on the front foot, none more so than the NL Grand Final in 2006.
I am with you on the larger frame, it was a long time ago that this fitness regime worked however for him in the lower league it did. I would also say players like Feka and Solomona are not too far off being the same size as Smith. Oh and lets not forget Michael was on the reserve list to play for New Zealand whilst playing for Rovers.'"
In a part time division
Michael Smith had all the tools to become a David Solomona but with an ability to break a tackle like Feka, both of which have proved themselves in the top division.
His main problem was an inability to avoid nightclubs and pizza shops.
