| From memory in all grades Souths have won something like 50 premierships (now I said all grades as in top grade, reserves, 'c' grade, U23's).
From the BRL (Brisbane Rugby League) Valleys won 24 premierships.
I'd have to say that Wigan is the most famous club though

Sorry your credibility in this thread went out the window when you stated you were a Latic fan.
Would you like us to kindly lend you Orrell for next season in Div 2 ?

NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_9857.jpg |

| Biggest = a combination of:
Fan base
pulling power of TV viewing audience
Income
Jnr development
Season pass holders/ticketed memberships
International profile
When you stack these up Brisbane would win by a country mile.

| Such questions as this are difficult to quantify. Does ‘biggest’ constitute on field accomplishment? Does it relate to following? Does it relate to traditions? If it is a combination of all three, where do your weightings lie. It is clear that the debate is a highly subjective one, one that will encourage passionate debate.
One thing that we can realistically deduce is that there are only realistically a small handful of clubs that are worthy of consideration – Leeds, Wigan, Souths, St. George and Brisbane.
Leeds have been the Yorkshire giant for years. They always have a good following, boast a good youth system and are the big city team of English Rugby. Souths and St. George are about history, pride and tradition. The formers support waned during their thinner years, but they remain a name well known in RL. Since their formation, Brisbane have been a big names club that draws the biggest support of any RL team. They are a formidable organization.
However, I would have to conclude that Wigan are the biggest name in RL. They have that extra factor for me – they are rooted in the traditions of the game; a town team that means everything to its community, with a great youth production line coming through the countless strong amateur teams in the area. The old Central Park ground used to have that mystique about it. In every sense the Pies are the silver lady of the game.
