You can park in Pennington, go out of the ground past the Harriers and under the old railway bridge, can park just off Newton Road there.

I'm with Matt on this, on site car parks are better for visiting fans, might have a little wait to get off the car parks but they are usually sequenced by the stewards and then its straight down the by-pass and onto the Lancs.

The Etherstone street parking is only good if you're going into Leigh, and the others the walk would take longer than any waiting time.

The conditions on the m62 in its entirity and the condition in castleford are quite differant, and getting to any games across the pennines on friday night for 7.30 is a nightmare at the best of times if you work, if the roads still arent 100% which in the highest parts of the m62 they wont be theres a good chance you will miss the start of the game. Maybe if there was a train station in leigh it would possible for some people to still go but there isnt unfortunatly.

There's a train station about 2 miles down the road if you're that desperate. And what good is a train station in relation to putting a game on if you havn't got the facilities to play the game in your town? I used to drive over the top of the M62 every day, in way worse conditions than this and I never cried about it.

We know, we have to do it on a Thursday!


Whichever ground you played at, you'd be struggling for last trains etc. What time is the last train/horse & cart out of Cas on a Friday night?

Never seemed as bad when we did it on a thursday, less people going away for the weekend presumably.


We havent had horse and carts for a very long time, we are on the developed side of the penines mate. Last trains leave cas just after 11 not sure about the glasshougton station.

They didn't , they probably like yours agreed to underwrite it , if yours has agreed to underwrite it ? , or is that the reason it hasn't been built

Clutching at straws for someone who was never going to attend..........You`ve no train station........So a link from Fev( cos thats the major area around those parts) into either Manchester Victoria/Piccadilly etc and a transfer to Atherton/Newton and then a 2 mile bus journey. What do you want a train directly to the ground similar to all current SL clubs.
