| I really feel for the Melbourne fans.
How can they possibly drum up enthusiasm for the rest of the year on ZILCH points?
Their crowds will be dire surely for the remainder of 2010.

Can they not keep any they win from now to the end of the season
If so, will they bother to play 100% and give an unfair advantage to teams they have not yet played.

Too late, they've been 'punished', but something similar would have been justified. I don't hold out much hope of anything as draconian (although justified) being dished out over here (depending on the club that is )

| some people feel sorry for them because they are an expansion team, but cheating is cheating
the interesting thing is in AFL where they allow their expansion teams to spend 1 million over their salary cap, or have in the past

NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_9857.jpg |

| This could be the end of the NATIONAL RL.
A very sad day for RL in Australia.
If Storm go under the code will be seen a a joke as it recedes back to the East coast only.

I think he means for the fiddling that you did a few years back, too late now, but should have happened back then. Any serious breaches by clubs in the future should have similar consequences to Storm.

According to you there was no national rugby league...
Keep hoping.
Maybe the Weagles will get a new member or two.

It'll be interesting to see if the Melbourne public turn against the storm, if they do it's the end of RL there. I can't see them recovering for a long time, if at all - no sponsor will want to touch them for a start.
Nearly all clubs must cheat the system, the NRL know the system needed changing since guys like Gasnier left but couldn't address it in time because of the joint NRL/News Ltd ownership. 2011-2013 is too late to increase the salary cap (and teams), damage has already been done. The sooner they get one person controlling the game the better.
