i try to watch Wire as often as my schedule and finances let me, 400 mile round trip. Then if i can't do that i'll try to watch the Quins. Can't believe a game like that on your doorstep and people prefer to watch it on the box

| i don't get this philosophy of people who don't go to games they expect to lose. A fan is a fan. If us Wire fans had that attitude we'd struggle to get gates of 100

| It couldn't be more obvious now to the organisers/RFL that people are not prepared to pay £50 a ticket, especially in modern stadia where there is not a bad view (£30 difference between cheapest and most expensive).
There was solid lines of people meeting empty seats where the different price blocks were.
£50 at Huddersfield? C'mon!

Fully agree, the single biggest problem in our game

| Not had time to read every single page of this thread, but it is worth noting that a mere 6,000 turned up to watch France in Paris. This is rubbish to say Les Catalans pull 8,000+ a game.
19,000 against NZ is not bad, but as someone else said it probably would have been 22-24K if it was at the KC, something to do with the fact City are at home tomorrow?
It remember when the Kiwis toured in 2002. The average attendance over 3 games was about 16,500 which, back then, was apparently the best ever for a Kiwi tour. So taking this into account anything around 20K for a Kiwi game is probably a good attendance.
More games at the CoM would be a good idea. I remember when we played Aus back there in 2004 (or was it 2005), around 35K turned up. If we can create the impression of a big occasion people will show, if we continue playing games at stupid times, in small stadia, in unfashionable towns, we will always be a small time sport.

Close to 9,000 according to FFRXIII website and one of the French papers.

| So the reported pre sales of 18000 was exaggerated then, there's a surprise. Can't believe only 1000 bothered to 'walk up' at the last minute.

said exactly the same about last weeks game
people are not so daft as to think that the centre line seats down the sides are worth £30 more than the view from the ends.
I think £10 difference is far more realistic, and would have resulted in a more even spread of people around the ground, and not huge blocks of unsold seats.

| Price bracketing seems a bit silly for a 25k stadium considering the difference in view isnt terribly different. its understandable for wembley (as shown by the fact that tickets sold out in the expensive £75 seats and not cheap seats for the challenge cup)
As a giants season ticket holder ive been able to sit in the £50 bracket all year for £95 and to expect someone to pay50 is pretty silly. 19'000 was good i thought but it could have been so much better if the rfl didnt treat fans like fools sometimes

I can only surmise that you think the Kiwis, 'Roos etc play in the Super League.
I can't think of another reason why you feel the cost of a domestic club season ticket has any bearing on an international match at the same ground.

Big difference between watching Huddersfield and your country against the world champions.
