| Quote: Paul Thexton "To be fair, on this particular point I think most aussies have it right.
The sporting conscience in this country that seems to think the only sport that has a right to call itself Football being that of the FA really annoys me.
Rugby (both codes), Association Football ... are all codes of [ifootball[/i, there is nothing wrong with saying footy in reference to any of the three games as far as I'm concerned.
And don't come up with the silly argument about playing football with your feet etc etc - have a look at the original FA rules from 1863.'"
I think the opposite is true though of some rugby fans. They refuse to call football football instead they insist on referring to it as soccer. They reserve the word football specifically for meaning rugby.
Its all bullsh*t - most people know football to mean the round ball game and although historically RL teams are known as rugby football clubs, I don't know why it can't just be dropped and just referred to as RL. It almost seems like one-upmanship of who deserves the right to use the word football for their game. Whats the big deal? One is rugby and the other is football = everyone knows where they stand.

I wouldn't swap LMS for Crabtree, LMS is younger, faster and seems able to do more game time. But I wouldn't turn my nose up at Crabtree.

It's all right being on the field longer but what impact does LMS have during his time on the field?
Against Quins this year we have stacked up 120 points in 3 games.

Hudds putting points on Quins doesn't really say anything in particular about Crabtree, especially as Quins squad is so paper thin we're persisting with players like Luke Dorn and Matt Gafa even though they're so gash we'd have been better off sending them to Skolars weeks ago.

...that's because it is [i"soccer"[/i an abbreviation of Association first used in nineteenth century Britain to differentiate between different football codes...
Soccer and rugby are two types of football what's so hard to understand?

Tookey.........
LMS is not the impact player Crabtree is, but he does put in more minutes on the park. I would like to see Crabtree at Quins.......but it will never happen.
As for the original posters comments....crabtree is a good prop that would end up in the top 10 in the NRL....but the tight crims don't pay enough!

| A no nonsence player
full of power and hard to push out of the way if you run to him, but sure as hell needs to work on both his tactical kicking game and in dealing with the high ball

| Well I'm an Aussie so lets do the test on me.
"Big Daddy" was the nickname of a Drag Racer from the United States.
And "On about" is used in Australia.
