Barrow have indeed played in Blue and White hoops. I think the last time we were in Division 1 (1989 ?) we wore that kit.
Our original colours (circa 1897) were black and red hoops, but for most of our history then we have been some form of blue or blue and white. Most of the 50's, 70's and 80's we had a 'V'. And again in the early 00's and 2009/2010. In 2006 to 208 we had a light blue shirt with a dark blue 'V'.
I personally like the new shirt. Not too flashy with traditional colours. I think too many manufacturers try to hard to be different. At the end of the day it's a Barrow shirt and most fans will want one. The main reason the club signed with Azzurri was that they can supply replica shirt orders within 3 weeks (Samurai took 12 weeks and their white's weren't too clever), and also that the deal was worth well into five figures for the club - a record for us.
