It’s 2018 now but that is Wakefield’s 2019 shirt. The comment from you about Topliss delaying his death is just dumb and childish, if the club really truly wanted to mark his 10 year passing properly then his tribute shirt should’ve been the 2018 kit. It’s pretty simple, any anniversary whether it’s 10, 20, 30 or 40 years then the last number of the year is the same e.g. 1979 -2019, not 2008-2019. Not my fault that Wakefield can’t get their maths right and have a shirt that celebrates losing a cup final and a 10 year anniversary that’ll actually be 11 years.

Shirt was always gonna be mainly blue considering last two years were predominantly white and red. The club clearly decided to do a little bit of extra marketing with the "40 years since Wembley" thing. It's worked, miles more people at the launch than previous years and bigger sales.

Some people are never happy. Guy who whinges that clubs do no marketing carries on whinging when someone does. Make your mind up.

Always like the Catalan kits. Not really a fan of their recent effort.

To be clear, Topliss was Lance Todd Trophy winner in 1979 which is part of the reason the Wakefield kit is commemorating him in particular from the cup final 40 years ago.
