In fact I did - and suggested on here a few days ago that might be the coach's big surprise.

Chase can be good against weak opposition but in my opinion risky against better opposition (and especially NZ). Also his play in the last couple of matches was poor and I would strongly guess contradicted the coaches wishes. For those reasons I expected this.

think burrow could start this game or at least come off the bench... had a decent game against fiji and would of probably played again the following week if it was not for being KO'd in fiji game

I skimmed through up to page 6, and by that time i'd had enough.

People continually call for Widdop to be selected, but then when he is, well Mcnamaras dropped a clanger, how can he make a change like this before our biggest game?

Then, not only that, chase can't simply have been dropped, it must be down to disciplinary issues. Cue relentless questions and speculation about the quality of man management and discplinary procedure.

Well it looks like that's what he's done. To do this shows Mcnamara has more balls than many on here gave him credit for.

This weeks selections will give the team direction and width for the edge players to come in to there own, look out for ST getting more ball to run with.
