hope we play a game at rotherham and chesterfield when there two new grounds open in the next two years. Doubt it will attract much support but 100-200 new, regular supporters off the back of it would be great!

Still is mate,also now Rotherham soccer club play their fixtures there as well so the pitch is 5h1te.

It was built for the World Student Games, the Sheffield taxpayers will have finally paid off the bill for that absolute white elephant in 2016. The World Student games was a 'one off' - it changes venues every year (or however often they run the thing)

Athletics is held there every couple of years - I have no idea on crowds as I have no interest in watching. It's also used by Rotherham United due to them being evicted from their previous stadium as they were wanting to charge silly money for them to play there. A very lowly non-league football team also play there (Parramore Sports).

Nice idea. Although it's taken Chesterfield the best part of 15 years to build their stadium, so don't hold your breath for Rotherham.

They've bought the land but i'm pretty certain they haven't bought any building materials. I can't recall seeing anything about planning permission either so i'd imagine that any building work starting this year is slim.

Aye, and its not bad looking. My mum refuses to go in the new tesco next to it as the lights make her feel funny.
