The fans might be happy if they finish in pole position for the playoffs but I'm sure Baloo won't be settling for that. We'll see what transpires in October but they've given themselves a good chance no matter what. I hope they get to pick their opponents in the GF Eliminator. Is it possible they could beat us again then have the option to pick us again if we win our last chance saloon game? It's worked out OK for us in the past couple of years. Could be interesting.

Huddersfield are the real deal.

They outclassed wigan tonight.

If they carry this into the playoffs they could seriously win the grand final. They just have to not f*ck it up, keep their cool and play the way they have been doing.

huddersfield was good but not as good as warrington, we have been out of form for at least 6 weeks and shaun wane needs to have a look at him self and the players its been dire.

Fair play to Huddersfield, I thought with how they started that Wigan would win tonight but they showed great defensive grit in the second half. Nice to see a Yorkshire team at the top. icon_cool.gif

Well done Huddersfield, the better team on the night - far more clinical and enthusiastic. Fully deserved and I hope they go on to take the LLS.

Wigan have been poor since the injuries to Lockers, Tomkins, Smith & Richards first hit. Taking nothing away from Hudds but would have been a much tougher challenge with Lockers, Sam and Smith in the squad. That said, those three can't stop the constant knock-ons and penalties that seem to be plaguing Wigan and putting them on the back foot. Won't win many more or get far in the play-offs on current form.

you can only play who's in front of you, wigan may have chose to rest players, I don't believe for one moment Tomkins was injured for tonights game, well done to hudds for beating them and beating them well in the second half and some of the wigan players showing they couldn't handle defeat well!

hudds shield to lose now

Tomkins did not bat either.
Neither did O'Loughlin... or Matty Smith.
Must be resting them for Wembley.

Quote: meast "i doubt any of you posting on this thread has any idea what its like to take great delight in a victory over Keighley or Oldham or began to even imagine losing to Trafford or chorley, some of us have, jeez we were in dreamland when we drew st Helens in the old regal trophy and were sent into orbit when we played wigan in 1995

eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif used to enjoy those bad times though martin..few beers before the game and no illusions about winning anything
