ellis is the far better player

hes adapted to the nrl much more quickly and in a poorer side.

Morley was poor in his first season - in part also because he was still trying to make it in the second row, also because as he himself has admitted, he's not as much of a 'footballer' as Ellis (I assume he means he's basically a barge and biff kind of forward whereas Ellis has a bit of nous). Having said that I've seen Ellis himself cause a couple of tries by racing out of the line in search of the big hit - a habit he's going to need to contain.

I'd be surprised if Ellis makes as big an impact as Morley because the Roosters rebuilt their entire definsive line around him. I doubt Wests will do the same with Ellis. I do think he's a pretty good player though, and he has a decent offload, which is not something that's really been used by Wests to date.
