Nothing against Halifax, but I'm gutted Toulouse lost. Toulouse v Catalans in the Middle 8s would have been great viewing and great for French rugby league. Unless Toulouse pull off a shock in the next two weeks, I feel that's it for their chances now.
Hopefully they'll learn from this and come back stronger next season. Squad depth has been their undoing, especially in the halves.'"
Toulouse still have a chance. Fax have a brutal end too and Toulouse have a superior PD. Plus might Fev be tempted to rest a few for their trip over to France.
I wanted Halifax to win as I quite like Halifax and I'm friends with Rob Worrincey's brother in law. Not to mention 4 ex Cas players plus 1 on loan.

I hope Fax get that 4th spot. I would rather travel to Fax than Toulouse, And hope we get Cats at home.

I doubt Fev will rest any, as long as they win today a win in France could get them the extra home game for finishing in the top 2. I still think Fax will get a result against KR though.
Edit: That should read if Fev win today and next week against Fax. If they lose to Fax then both results will be pretty much irrelevant as Fax will have the top 4 sewn up and they will be playing for 3rd and 4th.

I agree you are favourites but I wouldn't rule out you losing your last 2 and Toulouse beating Fev at home.

The best chance Toulouse have is turning over Fev at home. Considering they've not won in a few weeks now, I can't see it happening. There's also a just as good a chance Halifax could turn over Fev up the road.
Toulouse really needed to win over the last two weeks and came up short both times in very winnable games. They really have thrown the top 4 away.

Toulouse have lost to London and Halifax at home in the last few week, so I can't see them beating featherstone either.
Featherstone away next week will be a tricky game but I would fully expect us to beat hull KR at the shay with Hull having one eye on the middle 8's

It is what it is. I too would like them to make the 8s but fair play to whichever teams actually do. Regardless, their presence in the championship has ensured that 5 teams continue to compete for the top four which would otherwise have been settled many weeks back.

And 5 will hopefully become 6 next season with the inclusion of Toronto. That's half the league competing for a spot in the SL, not to mention the likes of Batley and Sheffield who can spring an upset on their day.

| Toulouse's chances of beating Featherstone Rovers and making the top 4 depends on Toulouse getting key injured players back, notably Jonathan Ford most of all, and Kane Bentley.

So "Terrific Toulouse" are only any good if they have a full squad to choose from? Whichever team from Fax or Toulouse make the middle 8's, they'll both likely get battered every week, but from a Fax perspective we do need the extra funding for next year or we're possibly on a very slippery downward slope.
Notably, Fax played yesterday without any Salford DR players (despite having 3 first teamers out through injury), albeit we did have Mike Sio on loan from Wakefield on the bench. 3 of the team yesterday have graduated from our reserve squad.

Yes HXsparky, Sio did well but had to come off after a nasty injury to the ribs, hopefully not long term. The other loan signing, prop Brandon Douglas from Cas had a good game too. Mitch Calahane and Shane Grady were immense and integral to the win though Ben Johnston and old man Murrell will probably grab the headlines..

| Simon Grix was also outstanding.
Fantastic weekend in Toulouse. If you get the chance to go over I'd highly recommend it
