Gore suffered a back injury in the game he played in and Craven was spear-tackled into the ground resulting in a dislocated shoulder.
These lads are fantastic and put in fantastic performances and they will continue to be blooded but there is a hell of a difference playing against lads your own age and semi-professional players.

Well said mate. It's easy to forget we lost some of our top youth when went into admin! The likes of Myler and Sidlow so we lost the crop aged around 20-23 so we are now looking at kids from 17-19 who just aren't quite their physically yet. Full time training will speed this up no end though!

No it was agreed that the RFL would decide. And with you saying Widnes are getting rid of their players ... of corse they are they are going from a part time club with 300k salary cap to full time club. You saying that Leigh would keep the same squad if they got the license ? be realistic mate

People forget there was plenty of bickering whilst P&R was in place. If it was reintroduced I think there would need to be more stringent rules on being accepted.

Also what chance would a championship club have of being competitive let alone staying in SL when there is such a massive gap these days in the amount that the sides can spend. It was hard enough when NFP clubs could spend up to £800k.
It basically means a club having to spend vast sums of money (which they probably don't have and against which there is no guarantee of them recouping anywhere near that amount) for a one year flutter.

I'm not convinced licensing is the answer but there are many many flaws with P&R at this stage of the game also.

There are flaws in any system where a semi-pro club is put into a fully professional situation. All sports have criteria which need to be met before promotion is assured, where that's stadium based or on finances, just we have it all in the open with the licensing system.
