I don't think the way the 2021 season was brought about was very fair on Leigh, and they ddi everything they could to remain competative.

But promotion and relegation is part of sport and they would have to have serious documentation failures at the RFL /SL to allow a legal process to go anywhere.

Not sure how legal proceedings would work in this instance but we’ve seen crazier things happen in our game over the years.

Side note - can you imagine the reaction if Bradford had gone up and anyone had suggested there should be no relegation… it would have been anarchy

I have to say I always thought it was very odd for us all to apply for the place this year without some sort of nod and wink that goalposts would get shifted to let them stay. I hope Leigh come back down in, at the very least, no worse a place than they'd have been if they hadn't had this one year in SL. If financially the SL year has been a detriment to the club then it was probably pointless. Anyway, looking forward to some great banter and cracking games between the Bulls and Leigh next year.

The time for Leigh to do any bargaining was before the took their place in SL and not 3/4 of the way through the season.
If they were a couple of wins from safety and prevented from fulfilling their fixtures, then, there may be a case for legal action.

The bottom line is that they took the "free" spot in SL (without earning promotion) and therefore there can be no argument.
