Refs have been dire. I understand its good to let the game flow. But when your missing obvious penalties and errors it defeats the object of the game.
And when has it become the norm to hammer the kicker or passer without the ball.

More like they just stopped playing. Thurston couldn't even lift his right arm to tackle - he should have had big forwards lined up to run at him. if they had he wouldn't even have been on the field at the end.

Agreed. They were just inviting the Queensland side onto them in the last 20 minutes and with such a narrow lead you just knew that they would eventually find the play to crack the nut. Sad really because that was a Queensland side there for the taking, and it will be tough going back to Brisbane for the decider. the Queensland star players are just starting to slide now, and they miss the strike of Inglis but still got the job done in the end. |
